FAIRBORN, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team picked up its 19th victory of the season Monday evening, earning a 70-63 victory at Wright State. With the win, the Vikings are now 19-9 overall this season and 11-6 in Horizon League play.

· Ashanti Abshaw led the Viking offense with 31 points, including 22 during the second half.
· Khayla Livingston added 17 points, while Olivia Voskuhl notched 15.

The Game
After holding the advantage throughout most of the first half, Cleveland State was able to take a 27-21 advantage into the halftime break, and then extended its lead throughout the third quarter.
Despite a back-and-forth start to the third frame, the Vikings went on an 8-0 run during the middle of the quarter to gain a double-digit lead at 44-31, with all eight of the points coming from Ashanti Abshaw. Abshaw, who had just nine points during the first half, tallied 15 of Cleveland State's 23 points during the third frame, helping the Vikings take a 50-36 lead into the final 10 minutes of play.
Although the Vikings were able to hold onto their sizeable advantage throughout the first part of the final quarter, Wright State posted a 14-2 run over a three-minute span midway through the frame to close the gap to just four points at 67-63. The Raider defense held the Vikings to just two free throws during this stretch, as they erased a 19-point advantage that the Vikings held at the 7:35 mark.
Cleveland State was able to snap the Wright State run with an Olivia Voskuhl free throw at the 58-second mark, and then a pair of Abshaw free throws with just 12 seconds left put the Vikings up by seven for the 70-63 victory.

· With her nine boards against Wright State, Olivia Voskuhl moved into 14th place on the CSU Rebounding Chart with 645 total rebounds.
· Olivia Voskuhl also moved into fourth place in defensive rebounds, finishing the game with 500 defensive boards – just the fourth Viking all-time to record 500+ defensive rebounds.
