INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Cleveland State women's basketball team was well represented on the Horizon League Postseason Awards list Tuesday afternoon, with the trio of Ashanti Abshaw, Khayla Livingston, and Jade Ely earning First Team, Second Team, and All-Freshman Team honors, respectively.

ASHANTI ABSHAW | F | R-SO. | FIRST TEAM
Abshaw picked up Horizon League postseason honors for the second straight year, and earned First Team accolades for the first time in her career. Entering the Horizon League Tournament, Abshaw leads the Vikings averaging 18.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while she ranks third and 10th among league players, respectively.

For the season, Abshaw has 522 total points and has recorded double-digit points in all but two games this year. The Cleveland Heights native leads all Vikings with 12 20-point games this season, including a 30-point performance against Richmond during the non-league slate.

Earlier this year Abshaw eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for her career, and currently has 1,041 career points. Abshaw recorded the milestone in just her 62nd game as a Viking, becoming the third fastest Viking to join the exclusive club.

Abshaw is the 11th Viking in program history to earn First Team honors, while she is the eighth to pick up the accolade under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad.
