Vikings Fall To Oakland On Senior Day

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Despite a strong offensive explosion to begin the game, the Cleveland State women's basketball team couldn't keep up the pace, as the Vikings fell to Oakland 93-79 on Senior Day. Cleveland State finished the regular season with a 14-15 overall record and a 9-9 mark in league play.

Game Stats
· Four Vikings finished with double-figures, led by Ashanti Abshaw with 20 points.
· Chrishna Butler and Olivia Voskuhl both added 15 points, while Khayla Livingston tallied 13.
· Ashanti Abshaw grabbed a team-high six boards, while Khayla Livingston recorded five rebounds.
· Khayla Livingston recorded six assists on the game.
· As a team, the Vikings posted five blocks, including two from Shadae Bosley.
· Cleveland State shot 46-percent from the floor, including a .471 clip from three-point.

Game Notes
· Chrishna Butler was just shy of posting a career-high on Senior Day with her 15 points.
· After returning to the lineup against Detroit last time out, Lex Eckles made an appearance in the starting lineup for Senior Day, finishing with four points and two rebounds.
· Ashanti Abshaw recorded her 12th 20-point game of the season, ending right on the number against Oakland.
· With her two blocked shots against Oakland, Shadae Bosley now has 86 blocks on her career.
· Cleveland State's 29 points during the first quarter marked a season-high for points in a quarter.

· The 2017 Horizon League Tournament will take place at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich. and will coincide with the men's tournament.
