GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Cleveland State women's basketball team continued its four-game roadswing at Green Bay Thursday evening, falling to the Phoenix, 79-60. With the loss the Vikings now stand at 12-12 overall this season and 7-6 in Horizon League play.

Game Stats
· Ashanti Abshaw led the Viking offense with 22 points, while Khayla Livingston added 13 points.
· Olivia Voskuhl grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, while Ashanti Abshaw grabbed five boards.

The Game
Although the Vikings were able to keep it a close game during the first quarter and opening minutes of the second frame, Green Bay went on a 21-9 run to close out the second quarter, gaining a 48-34 advantage at the halftime break.

Green Bay was able to hold its double-digit lead throughout the third quarter then, but the Vikings were able to close the gap to 10 points at 62-52 after forcing a shot clock violation on the Phoenix and an Ashanti Abshaw free throw at the 2:09 mark.

To start the fourth quarter, Cleveland State converted the first two baskets – a pair of layups from Chrishna Butler and Olivia Voskuhl – to close the Green Bay lead to single-digits at 64-56 with 7:45 left on the clock. The Phoenix responded with 16 straight points though, regaining their double-digit lead at the 79-56 mark. A Jade Ely three-pointer at the 1:26 mark stopped the Green Bay run, but it would be the final field goal of the contest for the Vikings, as Green Bay came away with the 79-60 victory.
