CSU Wrestlers, Coaches Lead Ohio Team to Junior National Championship

Fargo, N.D. - The Ohio Junior National team, under the helm of four Cleveland State wrestlers and coaches, captured the team national championship at the freestyle division and second at the Greco-Roman division.

Ohio grappler Dustin Schlatter was named Outstanding Wrestler after defeating returning champion and teammate Ryan Lang at 135-pound freestyle. Four other Ohioans placed first in their respective weight class to lead the team to the title.

Viking wrestlers Russ Davie and Jason Effner, as well as head coach Jack Effner and assistant coach Brian Keck, served on the coaching staff for the team of 17-18 year-olds.
