Cleveland State heavyweight wrestler Russ Davie (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) is scheduled to compete in the USA Wrestling World Team Trials on June 20-22 in Indianapolis. Davie earned a slot on the U.S. National Team by placing sixth at the U.S. Open in May.

Currently, the Viking senior is training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Col. to prepare for the Trials, wrestling along side world-class talent including Olympic Gold Medallist Rulon Gardner.

Davie completed his junior season in 2002-03, compiling a 26-10 record with nine pins.
