CSU Wrestling Closes Out Home Schedule Thursday With Senior Night

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland State wrestling team will close out the home portion of its schedule Thursday night at Woodling Gymnasium when the Vikings take on Eastern Wrestling League foe Clarion University at 7:30 p.m. Preceding the college match, there will be a YMCA youth match pitting the West Shore Y against the West End Y starting at 5 p.m.

All general admission tickets are $5. CSU faculty, staff and students are free with ID. All fans are encouraged to bring their Valentine and sign up for a chance to win dinner for two at Jack's Steakhouse.

Prior to the start of the CSU match, the three nationally-ranked Viking seniors - Phil Mansueto (Middletown, N.Y./Middletown), Gerald Harris (Tulsa, Okla./East Central) and Rocco Mansueto (Middletown, N.Y./Middletown) - will be honored. Harris (32-3) is ranked #4 at 184 pounds, Phil Mansueto (20-5) is #12 at 133 pounds and Rocco Mansueto (15-6)is #18 at 125 pounds.

CSU, 11-5 overall and 3-1 in the EWL, reappeared in the national rankings last week, checking in 25th along with Northern Illinois in the National Wrestling Coaches Association poll. Clarion enters the match at 8-5 overall, 1-3 in the EWL.
