Cleveland State Wrestling Advances Four to the Second Day of the Midlands Championships

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – Cleveland State advanced four to the second day of the 59th Annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships. All nine Vikings who took part in the championships recorded at least one win on the day.

Jake Manley (133 Pounds), No. 24 Dylan Layton (141 Pounds), Daniel Patten (165 Pounds), and Tate Geiser (165 Pounds) will compete in the consolation brackets tomorrow at noon.

Layton and Patten both advanced to the championship quarterfinals this evening before suffering their first losses of the day.

On the day, the Green and White recorded 13 decisions, 1 major decision, and a fall. The major decision came from Manley, and the fall came from Layton.
