Cleveland State Wrestling Falls at Ohio, 27-18

ATHENS, Ohio – The Vikings (3-6, 2-3) suffered a 27-18 setback against Ohio (2-6, 2-1) on Sunday afternoon.

The Bobcats grabbed the first three points of the match with a 4-1 decision at 125-pounds. Jake Manley evened the score at three-apiece with a 10-4 victory at 133-pounds.

The Bobcats regained the lead quickly behind a medical forfeit and a fall at 149-pounds to make it 15-3.

Cleveland State received six points after Marcus Robinson received a forfeit at 157-pounds as the Green and White trailed 15-9.

Ohio came right back with a tech fall, major decision, and decision to extend their advantage to 27-9 with two matches remaining.

Anthony Perrine remained unbeaten in MAC matches after registering a 3-2 win at 197-pounds as the scoreboard read 27-12.

Daniel Bucknavich capped off the match with a fall in 1:45, but the Vikings came up short in the match, 27-18.

The Vikings will host a tri-match on Saturday, January 28 against George Mason (11:00 a.m.) and SIU Edwardsville (2:00 p.m.).
