Cleveland State will compete in its first dual of the season at home tomorrow against No. 18 Pitt at 7 p.m. 

Last Time Out
The Vikings opened the 2022-23 season at the Michigan State Open on Saturday with the Green and White finishing with nine placers and one champion. In the open division, The Vikings had four placers led by third-place finishes from Anthony Perrine and Daniel BucknavichJake Manley and DeAndre Nassar each took fifth on the day. In the freshman/sophomore division, CSU had five placers paced by Dylan Layton as the champion at 141-pounds.

Series History
This will be the 36th meeting all-time between these two teams with the Panthers holding a 21-14-1 advantage. The last meeting came in 2012 with Pitt winning the match at home 38-6. The Vikings last victory came in 2007 on the road by a score of 21-15.

About the Panthers
Pitt ranked No. 18 in the country will also be competing in their first dual of the year after opening at the Clarion Open on Sunday. The Panthers Mac Stout led the way with a championship at 197-pounds, while Colton Camacho (125), Tyler Badgett (149), and Reece Heller (184) turned in runner-up finishes. Seven other Panthers also placed the opener.
