2016-17 – FRESHMAN SEASON
Led the team with seven pins as part of his nine bonus-point victories … Was third on the team, and first among freshmen, with 18 wins on the season … Had the fastest pin on the team during season, winning by fall against a Bucknell opponent in 10 seconds … Started every dual at 174 pounds and competed in Eastern Wrestling League Tournament … Won the first tournament he entered as a collegian, the Ohio Intercollegiate Open … Placed second at Storm Open, losing in final to his Ohio State opponent, and was third at Mat-Town Open II, where he won four consecutive matches against Division I foes … Won his collegiate debut with a 21-second pin in dual action … Won his EWL debut with major decision victory at George Mason … Won a match at EWL Tournament via pin … Six of his seven wins by pin came in the first period, five of the seven came within 90 seconds and three came within 30 seconds … Wrestled seven matches against opponents who qualified for NCAA Tournament, including both national finalists at 174 pounds.

Won the Michigan state title as a freshman … Was a three-time state finalist … Won district and regional titles in his senior year … Also was an all-state first team selection in football.
