Vikings Earn Their First EWL Win, 18-16

Cleveland State wrestilng hosted Lock Haven on Sunday (Jan. 25) afternoon in a hard fought match as the Vikings went on to win 18-16.

Gabe Stark started off the Vikings to a great start as he won his match in a 4-1 decision over Tyler Wood. After a couple losses and down 6-3 to the Bald Eagles, #15 Riley Shaw put in the Vikings back on track with a big 6-4 decision in overtime. #15 Ben Willeford followed suit by pinning Lock Haven's Jake Field just 1:59 into the match. After another couple losses, Nick Montgomery came out with a huge 5-2 decision over Dan Neff that put Cleveland State back in the lead, 15-13. LaTrell Davis also came up big by defeating Elias Biddle 7-3 to put the Vikings up 18-13. Matt Donohoe finalized the win by doing just enough to help the Vikings win 18-16. 

The Vikings will be back in action when they host Clarion on Friday (Jan. 30) at the Woodling Gymnasium.
