Vikings Sign Four Wrestlers

CLEVELAND, Ohio-  Cleveland State Wrestling adds four student-athletes in the early signing period.  All four have finished highly in their state tournaments and look to have standout senior seasons on both the state and national levels.  The early signees are Nicholas DeRosa (projected for 125), Michael Kostandaras (projected for 133/141), Aaron Yonker (projected for 165), and Anthony McLaughlin (projected for 184).

Aaron Yonker has had a superb high school career in northeast Ohio as well.  He placed eighth at 152 as a freshman and second at 160 as a sophomore in the Division III state tournament while competing for Garrettsville Garfield High School.  His runner-up finish helped lead his team to a seventh place finish at the state tournament in 2012.  Additionally he took second at the prestigious Brecksville Holiday Tournament as a sophomore.  This season he will compete in Division II while attending Crestwood High School.

Anthony McLaughlin attends nearby St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland.  Last year, he finished sixth in the state at 170 in Division I.  Recently, he finished in the top-12 of the nationally acclaimed preseason Super 32 tournament at 182.  He will serve as team captain for the Wildcats in his senior year.
