Edinboro, Pa. - Junior Ben Willeford was able to pick up one win, but unfortunately for CSU that's all the Vikings were able to get Saturday night, falling to Eastern Wrestling League foe and 15th nationally ranked Edinboro 37-3 on the road.

Willeford, who picked up a 5-2 decision to start the match at 125 pounds, tied his 2011-12 season total with the 18th win of his 2012-13 campaign. He is now 18-12 on the year, with six of those wins coming in dual meet action.

Despite the final margin, multiple matches were close and competitive on the night, with five of the nine CSU losses coming by five points or less. That includes an overtime thriller by Riley Shaw at heavyweight vs. the 20th nationally ranked Ernest James, a match-up Shaw eventually lost 7-5.

Shaw wasn't the only CSU wrestler to take on a nationally ranked opponent, as the Vikings faced four nationally ranked opponents for Edinboro, with three of those being decided by three points or less.

On top of Shaw's battle, Michael Carlone (133 pounds) fell 6-3 to third ranked A.J. Schopp and Nick Flannery (141) fell to fifth ranked Mitchell Port, 8-6.

The Vikings will look to bounce back from the tough defeat when they head back home next Saturday to face Bloomsburg at 1:00 p.m. on the CSU campus.
