Flannery & LaBeef Win at Kent State

Kent, Ohio- The Cleveland State Vikings picked up two dominating wins Friday night in consecutive weight classes, but were unable to use that momentum for a win as they eventually fell to the Kent State Golden Flashes, 31-10 on the road.

Nick Flannerypicked up the first win of the night for CSU at 141 pounds, with a convincing 14-4 major decision win. The victory for Flannery was his sixth dual meet win of the year and ninth in total, bringing him to 9-10 overall on the year.

Following Flannery's win, freshman R.J. LaBeef(149 lb.) picked up his eighth win of the season in a convincing pin at the 5:21 mark of the match. The pin was LaBeef's first of the season, and the Vikings 14th pin as a team on the year.

CSU will be back in action this Sunday when they take on Clarion at 1:00 p.m. on Senior Day in the Woodling Gymnasium.
