CLEVELAND, Ohio - Members of the Cleveland State men's tennis team who won the 2009 Horizon League Championship will officially receive their championship rings during halftime of the men's basketball game tonight against Detroit (Feb. 25).

Under the direction of head coach Brian Etzkin, last year's Horizon League Coach of the Year, CSU captured its second straight league title last spring with a 4-3 victory over UIC.

The win clinched the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship where the Vikings fell in the first round at Kentucky.

Phil Orno and Ryan Hamning paced the Vikings all season, earning first team All-Horizon League accolades, while Rob West was a second team choice.

They will be joined tonight by Nate Veselenak, Yannick Goossens, Rob Fox, Adam Perkins, Aris Spirtos and Steven Wipprecht, last season's recipient of the Herb Foster Sportsmanship Award from the Horizon League.

The Vikings are 8-2 this spring and are out of action until their Spring Break trip to Florida from March 14-17. CSU's first match down south will be March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Florida Atlantic.
