Contact: Jessica GerichVALPARAISO, Ind. - The Cleveland State men's tennis team won every match in competition against Valparaiso on Saturday afternoon to improve the team to 15-5 overall and 4-1 in the Horizon League.

After sweeping the doubles competition to claim the doubles point, the men won all six singles matches. Sophomore Phil Orno and freshman Robert Fox again continued their win streaks. Orno won 6-2, 6-3 over Alex Lau at No. 1 singles to place him at 16 straight wins, while Fox defeated Kyle Stump 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5 singles, which was his 13 consecutive singles match win.

Sophomore Ryan Hamning won at No. 2 singles, defeating Mike Shideler 6-2, 7-5 and senior Brad Groleski won 6-2, 6-1 over Mike Wagner at No. 3 singles. Freshman Chris Klepatz won 6-0, 6-2 over Tom Litscher at No. 4 singles and junior Rob West wrapped up the team victory with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Kyle Stump at No. 6 singles.

"The guys went out and played strong tennis to win 7-0," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "We kept our focus during the rain delay to pick up a big win."

CSU completes its regular season at UIC on Sunday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m.
