GREEN BAY, Wisc. -- The men's tennis team successfully passed its latest Horizon League test Sunday afternoon, picking up their third conference win over Green Bay, 5-2.

Doubles play paved the way for the Vikings, as they picked up decisive victories at all three spots to kick off the match. The story of the season, Cleveland State's powerhouse pair of Phil Orno and Ryan Hamning, continued to roll at No. 1. The juniors are now 14-2 overall and 3-0 in the Horizon League.

CSU upheld its strength in singles that has proven to be the staple of its game this year. The men won four out of six to secure the match. Robert Fox improved to 13-4 at No. 5, tying Orno for the team's best individual record.

"Today was another step forward towards our ultimate goal of another conference championship," said head coach Brian Etzkin. "Our great doubles play really set the tone for the whole match, and we were able to capitalize on a lot of quick starts to get out ahead of a fiery Green Bay team."

The Vikings, now 13-5, will host two more of the top teams in the league this weekend when UIC and Butler come to town. Cleveland State is scheduled to face UIC at noon on Saturday, April 11, followed by a 2:00 match up with Butler on Sunday.
