Earlier this month, the Vikings captured the Horizon League North Division Regular Season title – and No. 1 seed in the #HLTennis Tournament – while Belmont did the same in the South Division. This marks the first year that the Horizon League has been split into two separate divisions.

This year's Horizon League Tournament will take place Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30, and will be hosted at the Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The top-seeded Vikings will open tournament play with a Semifinal contest on Saturday, April 29, playing the winner of the South No. 2 Tennessee Tech/North No. 3 Northern Kentucky First Round match on Friday, April 28.

Saturday's appearance in the #HLTennis Tournament will mark the 17th straight trip to the semifinals for the Vikings and their 18th semifinal appearance in program history. Under head coach Brian Etzkin, the Vikings have captured eight Horizon League Tournament titles – most recently winning the 2021 #HLTennis Championship.

Cleveland State enters tournament play with a 19-7 overall record this year, and has won eight of its last nine matches.

The winners of Saturday's Semifinal contests will advance to the Championship Match on Sunday, April 30.
