Cleveland State Men’s Tennis Closes Out Milwaukee Tennis Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team closed out play at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic Saturday, with Mikael Erler competing in a singles consolation match.

"Mikael competed hard again today, he just came up a bit short in his consolation match," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "Although we are leaving the tournament earlier than we would have liked, we still played some tough matches and got some great wins from both Mikael and Maxime. These two and the entire team are definitely ready to keep the fall schedule rolling."

After bowing out of the main singles draw in the round of 16 yesterday, Erler went up against Baylor's Ethan Muza in a consolation match today, falling short in a 6-4, 6-1 decision.

The Vikings will continue their fall slate next weekend, participating in the Vredevelt Invitational hosted by Western Michigan on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25.
