CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team will continue the 2022 spring campaign with a pair of matches this weekend, traveling to Penn State on Friday, February 4 and facing Dartmouth on Saturday, February 5.

Road Swing Continues
This weekend's matches will be the final stretch of a six-match roadswing that the Vikings are opening the 2022 spring campaign with, as they have been playing away from home for the first four weeks of the season. This stretch will also feature a tough lineup, as Penn State will represent the second Big Ten opponent over the first six matches for the Vikings.

Erler Named #HLTennis Singles Player of the Week
Sophomore transfer Mikael Erler picked up Horizon League Singles Player of the Week honors on Wednesday, earning the accolade after going 2-0 against Xavier and Butler last weekend. Erler picked up a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles against Xavier and a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles against Butler. The two wins last weekend marked Erler's first dual match singles wins as a Viking.

…Back-To-Back #HLTennis Weekly Honors
This marked the second straight week that Cleveland State earned Horizon League Singles Player of the Week honors, as Maxime Mareschal-Hay earned the accolade following the first week of the 2022 campaign.

2022 #HLTennis Preseason Poll
Last week the Vikings were selected as the preseason favorite to win the Horizon League, picked to defend their back-to-back-to-back titles in the #HLTennis Preseason Poll. The Vikings secured four first-place votes, along with 24 points to beat out second place Youngstown State by six points. Northern Kentucky, UIC and IUPUI rounded out the poll.

Bilinovich On CSU Singles Wins List
After becoming the 17^th Viking to reach the 50-win milestone during the fall season, senior Clark Bilinovich begins the spring campaign tied for 15^th on the CSU Singles Wins List with 54 career victories. Bilinovich needs just four more wins to move into a tie for 14^th place, while he needs six more wins to become the 14^th Viking to reach 60 career singles victories.
