Mindry & Terry Pick Up #HLMTEN Doubles Team of the Week Honors

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After helping the Cleveland State men's tennis team pick up its fifth straight doubles point at Toledo last time out, the duo of Matthew Terry and Kade Mindry has been named the Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week. This marks the third weekly doubles honor for the Vikings this season, while it is the first for Terry and Mindry this year.

"This season we have taken a lot of pride in capturing the doubles point, and Matt and Kade have been a crucial part to our success in doubles play," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "They are a tough out for any opponent when they are playing free and easy, and they have a lot of experience playing together which allows them to compliment each other's games on the court. I'm excited to see them continue to grow as a team as the season goes on."

Against Toledo, Terry and Mindry posted a 7-6(5) win at the No. 2 spot, helping the Vikings earn the early 1-0 advantage in the match.

This marked the fifth straight match that the Vikings have picked up the doubles point, as Cleveland State doubles teams own a perfect 6-0 record over the last three contests.

On the season, Terry and Mindry own a 2-0 record as a doubles tandem, while they stand at 10-2 all-time as a duo.

Last week's 6-1 victory over Toledo gave the Vikings a perfect 3-0 record for the month of February, as they enter this weekend's match against Western Michigan with an even 3-3 mark on the young season.
