NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Cleveland State men's tennis senior Nico Mostardi wrapped up his 2019 fall campaign Thursday, falling in the consolation draw of the Oracle ITA National Fall championship.

In his second match of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championship, Mostardi fell to 27th ranked Kyle Seelig of Ohio State, 6-3, 6-4.

"Nico played much better today from the very first point of the match, and continued the strong play throughout the entire match," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "He represented Cleveland State tennis well during his time out here, and he continues to set the bar higher for himself and for the team."

This marked Mostardi's final tournament of the fall season, which included appearances in the Oracle ITA Masters, ITA All-Americans, and ITA Midwest Regional.

Mostardi, who was the first Viking to ever appear in the Oracle ITA National Fall Championship, now enters the spring campaign with an even 6-6 record on the year, and ranks seventh on the CSU Singles Wins List with 76 career wins.
