Matthew Terry was named the Tournament MVP after posting a perfect 4-0 singles record on the weekend, while Nico Mostardi and Luke Phillips both earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after going 3-1 in singles action.

"This was a good first tournament for us, we were able to improve throughout the weekend and I think after three days of strong competition we have a better feel for what we need to work on moving forward," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "Matt had a great showing this weekend, especially today when he had to refocus and regroup after getting down early and battling some tough conditions against a strong opponent. Nico and Luke also had a solid weekend for us in singles, while Luke and Raul finished their weekend with a quality doubles win today."

During the final round of singles play, the Viking trio of Matthew Terry, Nico Mostardi and Luke Phillips all picked up wins, improving to a combined 10-2 on the weekend.

Phillips picked up a 6-2, 6-2 straight set victory over Luis Heredia of Marquette, marking his 50th career singles win at Cleveland State. Phillips is the 16th Viking all-time to reach the 50-win mark, joining teammates Matthew Terry and Nico Mostardi.

Mostardi's victory came as a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0(8) decision over Nebraska's Victor Moreno Lozano, which moved him into a tie for seventh place on the CSU Singles Wins List with 73 career victories.

Terry earned a 1-6, 6-3, 1-0(6) victory over Western Michigan's Jannik Opitz to keep his singles record perfect this fall.
