Watch Parties Announced For Cleveland State Men’s Tennis & Men’s Golf

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State Department of Athletics will be hosting two NCAA Championship watch parties this week, following a pair of 2018 Horizon League Titles from the men's golf and men's tennis teams.

Tuesday, May 1 | Men's Tennis | 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 2 | Men's Golf | 5:30 p.m.

Both watch parties will be held in the Viking Lounge on the first floor of the Wolstein Center, with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. Those that would like to attend the watch parties are asked to enter the Wolstein Center via the third floor annex entrance.

Men's Golf – 2018 Horizon League Champions
Last Tuesday, the Cleveland State men's golf team captured its fifth straight Horizon League title and the 10th title in program history. Under head coach Steve Weir's guidance, the Vikings have won eight titles, while Weir was also a student-athlete on the 2006 championship team. 

The Vikings lead all current and past Horizon League schools with their 10 tournament crowns, and will be advancing to the NCAA Regionals May 14-16.

Men's Tennis – 2018 Horizon League Champions
Last weekend, the Cleveland State men's tennis team earned its sixth Horizon League title in program history, and the first since the 2013 campaign. All six of the Vikings' tournament titles have come during head coach Brian Etzkin's tenure, while the six championships marks a league-high among current schools.

Cleveland State will be making its sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, with first round matches slated for May 11 – May 13.
