Vikings In The MMTP
Saturday's contest against Northern Kentucky will be the first men's tennis match played in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion – Cleveland State's new on-campus indoor home. The Vikings will be looking to stay undefeated in their new domicile, as the women's team defeated Akron earlier this month in the first-ever match played in the MMTP.

Vikings Tabbed Third In Horizon League Preseason Poll
Earlier this season the Vikings were selected to finish third in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, picking up 37 points to finish behind Green Bay and Valparaiso who were tied for first place. This is the fourth year that the Horizon League has released a preseason poll, with the Vikings earning a top-three selection in all four polls. The final five spots in the poll were occupied by Youngstown State (4th), Detroit (5th), UIC (6th), Northern Kentucky (7th), and Wright State (8th).

Cleveland State In Horizon League Play
Under head coach Brian Etzkin the Vikings own a 56-27 record in Horizon League regular season matches, including a 39-7 record over the past seven seasons. Cleveland State has captured the Horizon League Regular Season title four times (2011, 2010, 2009, 2008), and has gone undefeated in league play three times (2011, 2010, 2009).

VanMeter Reaches 70 Career Singles Wins
Following a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles against Army last week, Joe VanMeter became the seventh Viking all-time to notch 70 career singles wins. VanMeter, who enters the weekend ranked seventh on the CSU Singles Wins List with his 70 victories, is just two wins shy of taking over sixth place which is currently held by Rob West (2005-09). VanMeter has a 9-7 singles record this spring, and has played throughout the top half of the singles lineup.

Scouting The Norse
Northern Kentucky, who is playing in its first season as a member of the Horizon League, enters the weekend with a 3-3 overall record and will begin play at Youngstown State on Friday. The Norse are in the midst of an eight-match roadswing, which includes their first four league contests of the season.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams under head coach Brian Etzkin.
