TOLEDO, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team opened play at the UT Rocket Invitational Saturday, facing Niagara, Youngstown State, and Duquesne in doubles and singles action.

Cleveland State had a strong doubles performance on Saturday, posting a 4-1 combined record against the three teams. The Vikings picked up two wins against Duquesne, one against Youngstown State, and one against Niagara.

The Vikings also posted a winning record in singles action, going 8-3 on the day. CSU was able to sweep all four singles matches against Niagara, with Jorg van der Vloet, Manuel Bellutti, Kevin Goth, and Andre Mick all picking up wins.

Bellutti and van der Vloet also picked up singles wins against Youngstown State, posting a perfect 2-0 record on the day.

The Vikings will conclude play at the UT Rocket Invitational tomorrow (Sunday, October 11), facing Purdue, Western Michigan, and Toledo in doubles and singles action.
