Dalman won both diving events to help lead the Vikings to a 2-1 dual record in a meet that included Notre Dame, Xavier and Duquesne. Dalman posted a score of 364.275 in the three-meter dive and 342.725 in the one-meter. In the process, Dalman defeated All-American and 2006 NCAA qualifier Michael Bulfin of Notre Dame.
"It's great for Chris to win the award again," head diving coach Rich Karban said. "It's a relection of his work ethic. Week after week, he consistently strives to be the best."
Dobies, competing in his first event since enrolling at CSU at semester, broke the school record in the 100 breast with a time of 55.29. The previous school record was 55.95 by Brian Lamers in 1995. He also clocked a 21.82 in the 50 free and swam in the 200 medley relay.
"We are excited to have Jakub joining our team," head swim coach Wally Morton said. "To set a school record in his first meet is an accomplishment that we consider one of the great swims in our history. He is an exciting new freshman and he has great potential in all of his events."
