Cleveland State University swimming & diving signed Tommy Mackley from Saginaw, Michigan. Mackley swam for Heritage High School and OLY Swimming.

Mackley was a six-time conference champion and a back-to-back state finalist in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events.

"I chose Cleveland State because of the overall mentality and culture of the team. I could also see from the start that they wanted to win just as badly as I do. I am looking forward to seeing what we can do together."

Mackley was an NCSA National Junior qualifier, placing 13th in 2024. He was part of the top-ranked swim club in Michigan.

Mackley is the son of Hallie and Tom Mackley, and he will major in nursing.
