Cleveland State University swimming & diving added Joe Parkhurst from East Bethany, New York. Parkhurst swam for Attica High School and Mercury Swim Club.

Parkhurst twice finished third at the state championship and holds seven school records. He was a seven-time league and sectional champion. In addition, Parkhurst was a three-time league and sectional MVP.

At the club level, Parkhurst was a regional champion and holds numerous records.

Parkhurst was a Scholar-Athlete and will be enrolling in the biology program. He is the son of Jon and Nicole Parkhurst.
