INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State junior Jackson Nester was named the Horizon League Under Armour Swimmer of the Week. This marks the first honor of the season and the first of his career.
Nester won three individual events in the win against Youngstown State on Saturday inside Busbey Natatorium. The junior claimed the 1000-yard freestyle (9:33.58), 200-yard backstroke (1:50.08), and 200-yard IM (1:53.33). This is the first weekly honor of his career.
Nester and the Vikings return to the pool for the 11th annual Magnus Cup Invitational, which runs from Thursday, Nov. 16 through Saturday, Nov. 18. Additionally, on Sunday, a long-course time trial will be held. Prelims will be at 9 a.m. each day, with finals taking place at 6 p.m. Diving will take place between the sessions on the three days.
