CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University swimming & diving coach Hannah Burandt announced the fourth addition for the class of 2023, Daniel Lyngaas.

Lyngaas is from Oestfold, Norway, and swam at Wang Toppidrett Fredrikstad. In his senior season, Lyngaas won the bronze medal at nationals.

"I chose Cleveland State because of all the opportunities in the classroom along with having a chance to swim at a high level.

Outside the pool, Lyngaas maintained good grades during his entire high school career.

Lyngaas swam for Sarpsborg IL Svommegruppa, putting up multiple club records and earned the best progression award.

Lyngaas plans to major in electrical engineering and is the son of Cecilie Karolin Lyngaas and Terje Lyngaas.
