CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University swimming & diving coach Hannah Burandt announced the third addition for the class of 2023, Aidan Florio.

Florio is from North Royalton, Ohio, and swam at North Royalton High School. During his time, he twice earned All-Ohio honors.

"I chose Cleveland State because of the high-ranking nursing program and the incredible companionship the teams have altogether."

Outside the pool, Florio earned the Highest Honor Roll, Pride in Academic, and National Society of High School Scholars.

Florio swam for SwimUnited and Ridgewood YMCA Dolphins. He was named to the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American team and was an ISCA National Champion.

Florio plans to major in nursing and is the son of Chris and Dawn Florio.
