CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University swimming & diving coach Hannah Burandt announced the first addition for the Class of 2023, Xander Austin.

Austin is from Jenison, Mich., and dove at Jenison High School. During his time, he was a three-time All-State, two-time All-American, and two-time Athlete of the Month. He also holds records for 11 dives and six dive meets.

"I chose Cleveland State because they have an amazing team culture, great coaches, and great academic facilities."

Outside the pool, Austin was named to the Honor Roll all four years.

Austin dove for Spartan Diving and was top 15 in Regionals.

Austin plans to major in mechanical engineering and is the son of Mario and Kathy Austin.
