Cleveland State Swimming & Diving Receives Horizon League Preseason Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Horizon League announced the men's and women's swimming and diving preseason polls on Wednesday with the men picked third and the women fifth.

Oakland was the unanimous favorite on each side with all six first-place votes for 36 points. Milwaukee slotted into the second spot on the women's side and IUPUI on the men's.

The Viking men received 25 points to sit in third while the women earned 13 points to come in fifth.

Cleveland State is coming off a season in which the men finished second and the women fifth. Jackson Nester will look to defend his 400-yard IM championship and Ana Sofia Sousa in the 200-yard freestyle.

The Green and White will open the regular season on Wednesday, October 5 with a men's only dual against Ohio State at home at 12 p.m. Both teams will then compete at home on Saturday, October 15 versus St. Bonaventure and Kenyon at 1 p.m.
