Cleveland State Men's Swimming & Diving in Second After Day One of HL Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Cleveland State kicked off the four-day Horizon League Championships on Wednesday evening with a pair of relays. With day one in the books, the men are in second place with 66 points, 14 points behind Oakland.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Kenny Thomas, Griffin Manning, Paddy Johnston, and Josh Merchbaker, kicked off the evening with a third-place finish, clocking a 1:27.35. Oakland took the top spot with a time of 1:26.49.

Nathen Eberhardt, Dominik Niedzialek, Timothy Kubacki, and Spencer Tussing placed second in the 800-yard freestyle relay, finishing in 6:33.69. Oakland won the relay with a meet record time of 6:26.21.

Day Two Schedule
The second day will feature the 500-yard freestyle, 200 IM, 50-yard freestyle, and 200-yard freestyle relay. The men will get their first chance at diving with 1-meter.
