Cleveland State Swimming & Diving Set for Two Home Meets This Weekend

Friday, January 21 | UIndy |  Busbey Natatorium | 3:00 p.m.

Saturday, January 22 | Denison/Gannon | Busbey Natatorium | Diving (11:00 a.m.), Swimming (1:00 p.m.)

Setting the Scene
The Vikings open the second half of their season this weekend with a pair of home meets on Friday and Saturday. Cleveland State will start off with UIndy on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and then face Denison and Gannon in a double dual on Saturday. Saturday's meet will be split with diving starting at 11:00 a.m. and then swimming at 1:00 p.m.

The Last Time Out
Cleveland State last swam on November 20th in the Magnus Cup with the men winning their seventh straight title and the women coming in seventh.

About UIndy
The men's team ranks No. 1 in the latest CSCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Top 25 poll while the women ranked No. 2. This will be the first official meet of 2022 for the Hounds. UIndy last swam on January 7 at the Swim4Nick Memorial Meet, recognizing their 14 seniors while continuing the legacy of Nick Dworet in the Swim4Nick Memorial Meet which saw the Greyhounds battle it out in an intrasquad setting.

The men's team ranks No. 2 while the women's team ranks No. 3 in the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Top 25 Poll.

About Gannon
Gannon last competed on December 4 at IUP with the men winning, 170-92, and the women falling, 197-103. The men won 11 of the 14 events and the women took the top spot in three races.
