4:19 pm- Cleveland State starters - GK Brad Stuver, DEF Justin Cree, DEF Audric Kilroy, DEF Jeff Baker, DEF Zach Ellis-Hayden, MID Cameron Eisses, MID John Wargo, MID Manual Conde, FWD Aaron Adkins, FWD Admir Suljevic, FWD Justin Mancine

4:45 pm We are getting closer to kickoff and it is bright and sunny. The clouds have shifted to the east and it looks like it will be perfect out there. The Vikings retreat to their locker room for their final words of encouragement before we get this one underway.

4:55 pm And here are the teams. Cleveland State wears forest green with white letters. The Buckeyes are in the white unis and red numbers.

5:01 pm Buckeyes start the match with kickoff. And away we go...

5:06 pm 39:00 Vikings have a break down the field, but nothing comes of it. Good to see the Vikings push down the field, early.

5:11 pm 34:17 Viking defense holding strong. OSU have had chances, but the Buckeyes are well defended. Ten minutes in and it looks like this will be a struggle for both teams.

5:15 30:25 Justin Mancine with a break away, but a beautiful (and legal) tackle by Buckeye Gardner. Cleveland State had a chance there.

5:20 25:20 Konrad Warzycha with a lazy slide tackle will bring out the first yellow card of the day. Viking Jeff Baker can't feel well after that tackle, and he looks like that one hurt.

5:30 pm 16:10 Fast moving first half...and Cleveland State scores! A wonderful pass from Admir Suljevic to a flying Aaron Adkins who slips it in. Cleveland State had been trying to beat the Buckeyes with long passes. And they finally did. 1-0 Cleveland State

5:33 pm 13:10 Cleveland State escapes after the Buckeyes almost squeeze one in, but its wide. What will CSU do now with a 1-nil lead? Do they play for another, or are going to see the game clamp down.

5:39 pm 8:15 Subs are on and off, but it looks like Admir Suljevic is cramping on the sideline. But the Buckeyes answer. Matt Gold had the ball taken away but he recovered and fired inside the 18, to tie it 1-1.

5:45 2:15 Zach Ellis-Hayden has a rocket saved as the Vikings had good possession. Only a few minutes to the half.

5:46 And that does it.. great half from the Vikings as they took the lead a half an hour in. Head coach Ali Kazemaini has to be happy with his side's effort.

6:07 pm The sun tucks behind the rain clouds here in Mid-Ohio. Vikings return from the dressing room for the second half. Stuver, Kilroy, Aldo Maiorano, John Gulden, Ellis-Hayden, Jordan Hart, John Wallace, Christopher Koy, Caleb Eastham, Conde, and Brian Donnelly

6:08 pm 41:58 Oh no...Cleveland State heads the ball in. Own Goal by Cleveland State and now the Vikings are down 2-1.

6:13 pm 37:30 Cleveland State had two corners, but could not convert as John Wallace booted the last one well high. No quit in the Vikings yet.

6:21 pm 29:48 Viking subs come in. CSU still moving the ball into space, looking to open up the Buckeyes, again. But on the counter, Audric Kilroy makes a harsh tackle and is booked. Cleveland State's first caution of the game.

6:30 pm 21:30 Halfway through the second half and the Vikings are still fighting for the equalizer. The Vikes are still making good runs up top. However, the later they wait, the harder it gets to tie this one.

6:34pm 16:52 ...And the Buckeyes capitalize on the speed of Chris Hegngi as he scores on the breakaway. Viking goalie Brad Stuver had no chance and the Buckeyes lead 3-1.

6:45 pm 10:00 Just ten minutes to go. Cleveland State will now look to finish strong.

6:46 pm 8:33 Cleveland State John Wargo gets a yellow card for a late kick at the shin guards. CSU still making good runs, just cannot capitalize on them.

6:50 pm 2:40 Ohio State still not out of the clear, Vikings keeping the ball in the attacking half. Good work for the Vikings on the day and plenty of positives to pick up on.

6:53 pm And thats the final whistle. Vikes go fighting to the end, but the Bucks win, 3-1 in Columbus.
