Cleveland State Men's Soccer Announces Four Midyear Transfers

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University head men's soccer coach Sinisa Ubiparipovic announced the Vikings have added three midyear transfers to the program.

Paolo Roditti | Miami, Florida | High Mowing School | Midfielder | Coastal Carolina

Roditti is a midfielder who hails from Miami, Florida, and played his first two collegiate seasons at Coastal Carolina. In that time, he appeared in 16 games with seven starts. His seven starts came this past season.

Roditti attended High Mowing School in Wilton, N.H., and played for UEB Torremar (Ecuador) for two seasons. He won the Needham Tournament with Black Rock FC and was the MVP of the Intercollegiate Tournament as a sophomore.

RC Schmeider | Aurora, Ohio | Aurora High School | Midfielder | Louisville

Schmeider is a midfielder who hails from Aurora, Ohio, and spent his first four collegiate years at the University of Louisville. Schmeider played in seven matches as a freshman, making his collegiate debut against No. 1 Wake Forest. He red-shirted the following season before missing the 2022 season due to injury. This past season, he played in three matches.

Schmeider attended Aurora High School, graduating a semester early to attend Louisville. He was a member of the Internationals, playing with the U-19 team for four years competing in the US Soccer Developmental Academy.

Mertz is a midfielder who hails from Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Mertz led his club team to the U17 Oberliga Baden-Wurttemberg Championship. He also won the U16 Verbandsliga Championship.

Vinicius De Silva | Juiz De Fora, Brazil | Colégio Jesuítas | Midfielder | Utah State Eastern
 
De Silver is a midfielder who hails from Juiz De Fora, Brazil, and played his first two collegiate seasons at Utah State Eastern. In that time, he appeared in 28 games with 13 starts, scoring eight goals and adding two assists.

In Brazil, De Silva played for the U-17 Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais State Championships.
