Opening Whistle
The top-seeded and Regular Season Champions, Cleveland State Vikings will face fourth-seeded and reigning Horizon League Tournament Champions, Oakland in the first Horizon League Semifinal game tomorrow at 1 p.m. on Krenzler Field. Following the game, second-seeded Wright State will take on third-seeded IUPUI at 4 p.m.

A Win Would…
Put the Vikings in their second straight Horizon League Championship game...Give Cleveland State a chance to win their second league title with the last coming in 2012 when they defeated Loyola, 2-0.

Setting the Bracket
No. 1 Cleveland State vs. No. 4 Oakland at 1 p.m. 
No. 2 Wright State vs. No. 3 IUPUI at 4 p.m.
The championship game will be Saturday, November 12 at 1 p.m. on Krenzler Field.

This Season's Meeting
The Green and White blanked Oakland 1-0 on Krenzler Field on October 8, which was also Alumni Night for the Vikings. Following a scoreless first half, Danilo Bakoc scored his first collegiate goal off a corner kick from Jannis Schmidt and Hector Gomez in the 56th minute. Omeed Naeemy made three saves in the contest.

Series History
The Grizzlies lead the series 10-4 with the Green and White winning this season's contest, 1-0. Prior to this season, OU won the last five matchups.

Oakland Notes
The Golden Grizzlies upended Robert Morris in shootouts to win the Horizon League Quarterfinal on their home field. Oakland carries a 4-9-5 overall record and is unbeaten in their last three games. Seniors Ville Ahola and Reid Sproat captured spots on the First Team, while goalkeeper Michael Sly, Jr. is an All-Freshman Team honoree.

Horizon League Honors
Cleveland State received three Horizon League special awards as Bojan Kolevski was named Player of the Year along with Offensive Player of the Year, and Sinisa Ubiparipovic earned Coach of the Year honors. Pablo Kawecki, Bojan Kolevski, and Jannis Schmidt received First Team honors and Hector Gomez along with Uros Jevtic received Second Team recognition.

Horizon League Preseason Poll
Cleveland State was selected to finish second in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, as voted upon by league head coaches. Reigning Horizon League Champions, Oakland topped the Horizon League poll with six first-place votes for 93 points, while the Vikings brought in two first-place votes for 90 points. Milwaukee came in third with a first-place vote for 81 points and Wright State got the last first-place vote for 68 points.

Tickets for the 2022 Horizon League tournament are on sale now. Adult tickets are $10.00 and children 12 & under are $8.00. Fans that purchase tickets for Thursday's games will be allowed into both semifinal matches. Gates to Krenzler Field will open one hour prior to kickoff on both days.
