Cleveland State Men's Soccer Concluded Non-League Play at Akron

AKRON, Ohio – The Vikings (9-3-3) concluded non-league play with a 4-0 setback at Akron (9-2-4) on Tuesday evening. Cleveland State now shifts its attention back to league play on Saturday night against the Raiders.

THE GAME
Akron netted the first goal in the 13th minute on a Will Jackson header off a corner from Jonas Buechte. One minute later, the Zips doubled their lead as Jason Shokalook took advantage of a giveaway in the back, slotting Dyson Clapier for the goal.

Akron extended the margin to 3-0 in the 21st minute as Shokalook scored off a long ball over the top from Ashton Kamdem. UA found the back of the net for a final time in the first half during the 43rd minute with a Terence Okoeguale goal to lead 4-0 at the break.

Cleveland State held Akron scoreless in the second half but dropped the final non-league game of the regular season.

Pablo Kawecki and Josip Rimac had the lone shots for the Vikings this evening. Omeed Naeemy made three saves in goal.
