Cleveland State Men's Soccer Weathered the Rain to Blank Robert Morris

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Vikings (9-1-2, 5-0-1) fought through tough rainy conditions on Wednesday evening to shutout Robert Morris (3-7-1, 2-3-1) by a final score of 1-0. With the victory, the Green and White extended their unbeaten streak to eight and winning streak to five.

THE GAME
Cleveland State tallied the lone goal of the game in the seventh minute as Hector Gomez capitalized on a Robert Morris giveaway, ripping a shot from 25-yards out. The goal for Gomez is his second of the season.

The Vikings held a slim 11-10 edge in shots and a 3-1 advantage in shots on goal. Each team was awarded six corner kicks.

Pablo Kawecki led the game with four shots while Jannis Schmidt was close behind with seven.
