Cleveland State Men's Soccer Shutout IUPUI on the Road 2-0

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Vikings (6-1-2, 2-0-1) went on the road Wednesday and blanked IUPUI (1-4-4, 0-1-2) 2-0. With the victory, Cleveland State extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a 3-0-2 record.

THE GAME
Cleveland State got on the board in the 28th minute as Bojan Kolevski scored off an initial save on an Albert Portas shot.

The Vikings had a chance to extend the lead in the 40th minute, but Kolevski failed to convert a penalty kick. Two minutes later, Portas extended the advantage to 2-0, scoring off a cross from Kolevski.

The Green and White took the 2-0 lead into the half despite being outshot 12-7.

The second half went scoreless with the Jags outshooting the Vikings 9-5.

Cleveland State recorded their fourth shutout of the year and Omeed Naeemy's third. Naeemy finished with a season-best eight saves.

Kolevski and Portas each finished with four shots. Pablo Kawecki was close behind with three shots.
