INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State senior Jannis Schmidt earned his second straight Nike® #HLMSOC Offensive Player of the Week honor, the Horizon League announced Tuesday afternoon. Schmidt has now claimed both honors this season and for the sixth time in his career.

Schmidt led the Green and White to a 2-0 week with a 2-1 victory at UIC on Monday and a 4-2 win at Army on Friday. The senior scored both goals against the Flames and then added another one on Friday.

Schmidt's game-tying volley against UIC was the No. 1 play on ESPN Top 10 plays.

Through two weeks of the season, Schmidt has four goals which are second in the country.
