Opening Whistle
The second-seeded Vikings will face top-seeded and Regular Season Champions, Oakland in the Horizon League Championship tomorrow at 1 p.m.

A Win Would…
Give Cleveland State their second Horizon League Tournament Championship in program history with their last coming in 2012 when they defeated Loyola, 2-0.

Setting the Championship Match
The Golden Grizzlies advanced to the championship match with a 3-1 victory over UIC in the semifinals. Noah Jensen scored Oakland's first and last goal while Mikey Ketteman added the game-winner on a penalty kick. Cleveland State used two second-half goals to defeat Milwaukee, 2-1. Albert Portas equalized the game in the 49th minute on a free-kick and Andrew Nicholas scored the game-winner in the 56th minute on an absolute rocket that made ESPN Top 10.

This Season's Meeting
Oakland stunned the Green and White in their regular-season meeting in Rochester on Oct. 9. The Vikings led 3-0 in the 63rd minute before the Golden Grizzles scored four unanswered goals to win the game. Bojan Kolevski had the lone first-half goal as Cleveland State led 1-0 at the intermission. Jannis Schmidt made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute and Kolevski extended the advantage in the 63rd minute. Oakland then tallied goals in the 68th, 70th, 73rd, and 88th minutes with Noah Jensen accounting for the final two goals of the afternoon.

Golden Grizzlie Guide
Mikey Ketteman leads the offense with ten goals and three assists while Noah Jensen has a team-best 11 assists. Finn Jurak has 33 saves with two shutouts in goal.

Horizon League Honors
Cleveland State brought in three Horizon League special awards as Jannis Schmidt was named Player of the Year, Bojan Kolevski was the Offensive Player of the Year, and Thomas M'Barek was the Defensive Player of the Year. Those three players were also named All-League First Team and Pablo Kawecki earned a spot on the Second Team.

NCAA Tournament Information
The 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship provides for a field of 48 teams to compete in a single-elimination tournament. Twenty-three conference champions qualify automatically; the balance of the field is selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Committee. The teams will be seeded so that 16 of the 48 teams will receive a First-Round bye and automatically advance to the Second Round.

The 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship bracket will be announced on Monday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. on NCAA.com.

The First-Round matches will take place on Thursday, Nov. 18 at a campus site.
