Cleveland State Men's Soccer Falls to No. 13 Pitt

Pittsburgh, Pa.- Cleveland State University fell to No. 13 Pittsburgh 4-0 on Tuesday evening. The Vikings will turn their attention back to Horizon League play on Saturday at Oakland, looking to extend their best start in program history.

THE GAME
Pitt got on the board first in the 23rd minute as Guilherme Feitosa finished off a give-and-go cross from Rodrigo Almeida and Bertin Jacquesson. The scoreline remained the same at the intermission with the home team holding an 11-3 edge in shots.

The Panthers doubled their advantage in the 68th minute as Jacquesson scored off a pair of passes from Almeida and Jasper Loeffelsend. Six minutes later, Michael Sullivan raised the margin to 3-0 with a goal off a pair of assists from Jackson Walti and Jacquesson.

No. 13 Pitt capped off the 4-0 victory in the 85th minute with a tally by Lucas Matuszewski off a through ball from Loeffelsend and Walti.

The Vikings were outshot 20-6 on the evening and 10-2 in shots on goal. Omeed Naeemy stopped six shots. Bojan Kolevski fired off two shots.

UP NEXT
The Vikings return to Horizon League play on Saturday, Oct. 9 at Oakland with a 2 p.m. kickoff. Cleveland State will be looking to build on their best start with their sixth straight league win.
