INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State senior midfielder Jannis Schmidt has been named the #HLMSOC Offensive Player of the Week, the Horizon League announced Monday afternoon. Schmidt earns this honor for the first time this season and third time in his career.

Schmidt scored a goal and had an assist as the Vikings went 1-1 on the week. His assist came on the game-winning goal against Milwaukee in the 62nd minute. Schmidt went on to bag the final tally in the 87th minute of the Horizon League victory. The senior now leads the Horizon League in assists with five.

Cleveland State welcomes IUPUI to Krenzler Field on Wed. Sept. 29 for a 7 p.m. Horizon League contest.
