Cleveland State Men's Soccer Downed at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Cleveland State had their three-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday evening, falling to Ohio State, 2-0. The Vikings will look to bounce back on Saturday as they seek their third straight Horizon League victory at Milwaukee.

THE GAME
The opening half went scoreless with each time registering three shots. Ohio State accounted for the lone shot on goal.

Ohio State got on the board in the 68th minute when Laurence Wootton finished off a cross by Channing Chasten. The Buckeyes tacked on an insurance goal in the 82nd minute as Devyn Etling scored on a goal line shot off a Vikings deflection.

Bojan Kolevski had three of the seven Cleveland State shots on the night. Michael Neumann had the lone shot on goal for the Green and White. Omeed Naeemy made three saves in goal.

UP NEXT
The Vikings return to Horizon League play on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. against reigning HL Tournament Champions, Milwaukee. The Vikings trail in the all-time series. 22-6-3, but have won the last two meetings via 1-0 shutouts.
