Cleveland State's Thomas M'Barek Named to #HLMSOC All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Cleveland State men's soccer senior Thomas M'Barek has been named to the 2020 Horizon League All-Academic Team, the League announced on Wednesday.

M'Barek is a seven-time member of the Cleveland State President's List, owning a near-perfect 4.0 GPA (3.97). This is the senior international business major's third consecutive year appearing on the #HLMSOC All-Academic Team. A five-time member of the Horizon League's Honor Roll, the Saint-Aunes, France, native appeared in eight games for the Vikings during the spring season, starting in all eight matches.

In addition to his academic accolades, M'Barek was named the 2020-21 Senior CLASS Award recipient for men's soccer. He becomes the first Viking to win the award.

"Thomas is someone who truly embodies a student-athlete and has represented our program and university in the best possible way," said Sinisa Ubiparipovic, who has coached Cleveland State for the last two seasons. "His dedication in the classroom and on the field is exceptional. Thomas has set a high standard to what we expect of our student-athletes to achieve at Cleveland State."
