THE OPENING KICK
The Green and White look to bounce back after its double overtime loss to Northern Kentucky on Sunday, Feb. 28. The Vikings, aiming to break their two-game skid, enter the match averaging the most shots per game in the Horizon League (15.80) and second in goals scored (eight).

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Milwaukee enters Saturday's contest with a 3-2 overall record, which includes a two-game winning streak. In their last time out, the Panthers knocked off the Raiders of Wright State, 2-1, scoring both goals in the first half. Raul Medina and Paolo Gratton recorded Milwaukee's goals, while sophomore goalkeeper Nick Chiappa tallied five saves. Gratton has three goals in five games this season, good for third-most in the Horizon League.

AGAINST THIS OPPONENT
Milwaukee owns a 27-17-5 all-time record against Cleveland State. Last time out, the Vikings took a 1-0 decision at Krenzler Field. Lawrence Karpeh scored the lone goal for the Vikes, while then-true freshman Omeed Naeemy kept a clean sheet.

LAST TIME OUT
Cleveland State dropped a heartbreaker in double overtime to Northern Kentucky on Sunday, Feb. 28 inside the Krenzler Bubble. True freshman Julian Pellegrini netted his first career goal late in the second half to force the extra period with Jannis Schmidt and Saahb Kular both adding assists. The loss marked the team's second loss on the season when forcing overtime, previously falling in their season-opener against Green Bay (2-1, Feb. 4).

Junior Jannis Schmidt currently ranks second in the #HLMSOC in goals scored (4) and points (10), while Omeed Naeemy is tied for the top spot in shutouts, posting two shutouts this season.

#HLMSOC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Vikings won the league's weekly award in back-to-back weeks, with junior Jannis Schmidt being awarded Nike #HLMSOC Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 19 after his two-goal performance against Detroit Mercy, while redshirt sophomore Saahb Kular was named Defensive Player of the Week after propelling the Vikes to their first win of the season against Robert Morris on Feb. 10.

GETTING DEFENSIVE
After dropping its season opener to Green Bay in double overtime, Cleveland State bounced back in a big way, winning its next two games. Over the Vikes two-game winning streak, Cleveland State has scored five goals and given up zero. CSU has only allowed two goals this entire season.

SEASON FORMAT
Horizon League schools will play a complete round-robin schedule in men's soccer with every league school scheduled to play each other once in the regular season. The league schedule sees each school slated for 10 matches over 11 dates of competition with each school having one bye week. The opening day of the men's soccer season was Thursday, Feb. 4. Matches will continue to be held every sixth calendar day until the regular season concludes Monday, April 5. Horizon League championship information, including dates and format, will be announced once finalized.
